Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un

[Arabic: انّا للہ و انّا الیہ راجعون ] is part of the Quran, Sura Al-Baqara, Verse 156. The full verse is as follows, [Arabic: الذين اذا اصابتهم مصيبة قالوا انا لله وانا اليه راجعون ] “Those who if a disaster/every thing hated struck them they said: “We are to God, and we are to Him returning.”

Please send your condolences to Sister Jayla

Jayla lost her husband and father of her children years ago. She has been strong and carrying on. She made hijrah with her children and has lived in Egypt, Kuwait, The UAE, and most recently Qatar. She recently met a brother who, subhanallah, looked exactly like her late husband. They decided to do a marriage contract and have a little halal dating (technically married but no consumation so that they could get to know each other better). She uprooted her family and returned to the States just a few weeks ago and then traveled to meet him. If you read her last few blog entries and compare them to her older blog entries you can not help but feel her joy. We were all anxiously awaiting her continuation of her new love story. Sadly, she reported a car accident, and she is now left to grieve…again…the lost of a good husband. Qadr Allah wa ma sha fa al (This was the decree of Allah and He Willed this).

Please lend her your support in her time of need. Not only is she in mourning but I’m sure she is now very confused about where her next move will be.
